This course has now finished. The location of this course was chosen to be accessible for people in West Lancashire and Merseyside. The venue is near Chorley railway station, handy for Manchester, Bolton and Preston and it is close to the M61 and A6.
12 Saturdays, roughly one per month. Continues with Day 2 on 8th June 2013 (see complete list of provisional dates). Thanks to David Harrison and the Greenbank Trust we have a town centre venue that is convenient for public transport and has its own parking spaces.
The course is open to all and we will follow the international guidelines to cover the course syllabus in full. The course should also be useful to those wishing to apply permaculture in urban and sub-urban settings. In addition, the tutors and the expected participants should prove to be a useful resource for people who wish to apply permaculture design within their business or career, and also those involved in community-based projects of all kinds, including Transition Towns and Incredible Edible initiatives.
The course will be led by Angus Soutar with support from visiting teachers. Angus has experience of permaculture design in commercial situations, and he is keen to share the lessons from this during the course.

What will we study?
The aim is to help you to make the transition to a practical and peaceful future, in the way that you want it to. You can read more about the course topics here.
What will it cost and how can I pay?
We are making a firm offer to "early birds" who of a price for the complete course (12 days) iat £360, if paid in full in advance.
You may read more about our pricing policy and what you can expect from us. We are offering several ways to make this affordable for people on low income and, if the fee is difficult for you to find, you are encouraged to negotiate with us - contact our "star" course admin team.
If you are below average income, or a supporter of Transition Towns or Incredible Edible, or you have a Community Trader account, the cash fee will be reduced to £240, and you may provide the remainder through suitable and convenient work exchange without any further cash changing hands. You may also spread the £240 payment by paying monthly, as the course progresses. (We may add a small administration charge to the fee in this case).
Additional bursaries may be avialable for those in financial hardship, although these will depend on the number of well-resourced people attending the course.
