Initial design event at Swainshead Hall Farm - aurumn 2013

The buildings around the farmyard are a considerable asset with the opportunity to develop this area for other business activities. Training courses are an attractive possibility, particularly in the areas of health and the natural world. Our designs will concentrate on this area and the development of new business opportunities. The buildings have been designed for agricultural use and will need to be appraised for changes, and there are additional options to build new "temporary" facilities.

This event uses a classic "bootstrap" approach and we will be using existing "rough and ready" accommodation with a view to making a more comfortable experience for those who are to follow. The provision of overnight facilities needs consideration, which has led us to run this event as two separate days - on the basis of "one step at a time". In addition, there are currently no facilities for disabled access and this will need to be addressed by the design team.
