Designers' Weekend at Dreamcatcher - advance information

This page updated 234th February - but check links below, additional information may be added

The aim of the weekend is to assist with the development of Dreamcatcher Farm, demonstrating how open agricultural land can be converted into a more valuable resource for both people and for Nature.

The visiting group of permaculture desighers will work on proposals for the site. This will be predominantly group work, which we will set up on the Saturday morning. Support for this process will be provided by Angus, Charlotte and Leona. Jules will also provide support, particularly with catering. General information about the design group work can be found here.

There will also be a contingent of local residents and "friends of" Dreramcatcher. They are welcome to join in with the design work, althoigh their attendence can be much more flexible. Peter and Angus would like to see some practical work done in marking out the locations for the tree planting of both a grazed orchgard and also for an orchard-as-a-wild-forest-garden. This work can start on the Saturday morning. The intention is to meet alrogether to begin with, and then start these practical activities to run in parallel with the design work.

The weekend will start at 10.00am on the morning of Saturday 2nd March 2013. Participants will be able to choose which area they want to work on and what they want to do after the initial session.
