DAY 8 Design Methods Random Assembly

Design Methods Random Assembly

You can read more about design methods in Permaculture - A Designers Manual chapter 3.

A summary is given here, you will also have a summary in your design guide.

Design Method: Random assembly, please read Permaculture - A Designers Manual section 3.7

This method is useful once you have a list of elements that you want to include in your design, but you have yet to place them properly. Random assembly can lead you to new ideas and novel placements. For example, the diagram shows how “trellis over canal” leads to harvesting grapes by boat - “good ventilation, no damp, no mould!” and “tractor beside pond” leads to roadways along canals and over reservoir dams.
