What do you get in return for doing the design (not always cash!)

Terms

Stage payments? According to what will be delivered? In what form? And when?

If you are writing the brief for a design yourself, you would miss out the "fees" and "terms" sections, perhaps give some idea of the number of hours you would expect to spend on the project. You could then miss out the headings and you should end up with a good "thumbnail" brief that you could use in your design summary.
