Manchester Permaculture Gathering May 2018
Spring Network event at The Barn Countryside Centre, Phillips Park, (Prestwich-Whitefield). The event is open to all. Bring some lunch to share. You are welcome to attend for only part of the time.
Following the succesful Network gathering at Hulme Community Garden Centre earlier in the year, Mike and Debbie are hosting the next event at The Barn in Philips Park.
The park is technically in Prestwich but the only (road) access is via Whitefield. We may be able to arrange some lifts from Whitefield tram stop which is about a mile away.
There will be a talk about the various incredible edible projects in the park and a tour round, a talk by Steve Jones about urban Permaculture, some practical activities and time to network and with each other. We will provide a vegan lunch and would appreciate it if people bring some food to share.
There is a wildflower walk taking place that day, some people may be able to tag along if there are any spare places. We are waiting for full details of this.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to visit Prestwich Clough Forest Garden, should there be enough people interested.
